LAST WEEK!!
sorry for posting at the last day of the holidays haha..
but here they are!!
1) Police have nabbed a 40-year-old man believed to be involved in hundreds of cashcard thefts. The suspect would usually target motorcycles in multi-storey car parks in the Woodlands, Sembawang and Admiralty areas in the northern part of Singapore. He was arrested on Tuesday at about 2.30pm at Block 620A, Lorong 1 Toa Payoh. A total of 22 cashcards were recovered.
My opinions :
People must now be cautious about their surroundings now, especially those who own vehicles. I suggest that they should not leave their valuables in their vehicles as their vehicles can be easily broken in now with today's modern technology. In fact, burglars can just smash the window of a car and slip in and out easily, so we must be cautious and don't give a chance to these sneaky theives!
2)A police inspector with the Bedok Police Division was charged in court on Wednesday with bribery. He had allegedly accepted S$5,000 from a suspect, through his friend, in return for being lenient in the investigation. The inspector was, at that time, in charge of the Commercial Crime Squad.
My opinions :
Ouch! Bribery seems to be the worst crime ever, after murder that is. Being a police officer has big responsibilities, and they also must have lots of qualities to be one - and one of these qualities is that they must not be greedy. Police should not easily give in just because of money, this way the police officer will not fulfil his responsibilities in being a police officer and let the whole squad down.
